Weekly Video Update – 11/1/13

Hi there – it’s Lon this week with some more video strategies & resources…

New Webinar Training Preview:

Webinar recordings are core to our business.

In fact, we use them every week to:

  * Create digital video products
  * Engage our prospects
  * Thrill our customers
  * Build our lists
  * Create content
  * Work with JVs
  * Drive traffic
  * Train our staff
  * And more…

Hey, we’ve done well over 200 webinars in the last few years for our business. Why?

Because nothing is as effective, engaging, relationship building, trust creating, and profitable as webinars.

IF… you do them right!

Here’s a presentation and free PDF from my good friend Steve Renton with ideas that our own extensive experience shows to be spot on:

Watch HERE: Webinar Alchemy?

No opt-in or anything required. (Refreshing, right?)

Frankly, I think the content should be a bit less “salesy” but hey… it’s a pre-launch video. The good news is that I already have access to Steve’s course and trust me… you will be completely blown away by it on Nov. 5th.

Learn Camtasia on the Road:

A few weeks back I got a chance to talk about how Camtasia can be used for interactive elearning courses. This short interview was conducted by Rick Zanotti and Dawn Mahoney of elearningchat.

You can see the interview and watch more of their webcasts on their channel at Vimeo. The interviews are streamed live using a combination of Skype and Justin.tv.

Screencasters Best Practices:

Here’s a tip that I have learned from my years of screencasting.

I use to wait until I had all the recordings done for a screencast before going back to fix my mistakes. Sometimes it would be days before I’d get around to editing a tutorial. These days I always recommend that new screencasters Fix Errors Immediately After the Recording.

As soon as you finish recording, go back and listen to it. Where you make mistakes, re-record those sentences right then, while your tone and mood are still the same. If you wait until another day, chances are it will be harder to reproduce the exact sound. Your voice’s sound is a combination of a lot of variables – how you feel, what time of day it is, what you ate, what room you’re in, the alignment of the stars and so on.

By fixing the fumbled sentences immediately, you increase the likelihood of a seamless patch.

What’s Coming Up:

Did you miss the webinar Craig Canning delivered last night about creating an online teaching business from scratch? He clearly laid out a path to profit from developing low cost live or video classes then graduate to multi lesson elearning courses on to adding mastermind groups and one to one training. I highly recommend you watch this if you have an interest in creating an online teaching business.
