Bi-Weekly Video Update – 11/15/16

Hi there! It’s Lon Naylor this week with your screencast video news.

From the Learn Camtasia Blog:

PowerPoint Effects Bring Text To Life
PowerPoint is one of our favorite video and graphics content creation tools for our video projects!

Check out this post where I’ll show you not one but two really nifty, little-known ways to quickly and easily add some unique spice to your video projects!

Little tricks like this are what the video pros use. Just saying. 😉

#1 Tool For Creating Video Products?

Here at LearnCamtasia.com, Michelle and I use ONE strategy to create more of our video training courses than anything else: Recorded Webinars

And when we want to sell those video training products? Yep. We use webinars!

In fact, YOU are probably reading this newsletter because of a webinar because they are also our main list-building tool as well…

We use the GoToWebinar System for all of these and for that, we pay a special “grandfathered” price of: $996… per year. And we’re happy to do so because they are core to our business.

BUT… I wanted to give you a heads-up that, until Tuesday, Nov. 15th at midnight, you can get a proven webinar system that actually does more than GTW for a ton less or even a one-time-payment:

Check out ==> EasyWebinar 5.0

If you are at all interested in using the most powerful business tool on the internet today, I’d suggest you give this a look!

That’s it for this week – see you in two weeks!

Bi-Weekly Video Update – 11/27/16

It’s Michelle this week and I have a number of things to share with you…

First, Happy Belated Thanksgiving for all our U.S. and Canadian subscribers. This year my dad had 26 people to dinner and I met about 15 second and third cousins I never knew I had. Hope you all had a great week and, if you traveled, are now home safely.

Camtasia 9 Live Workshops Begin Dec. 8th

Beginning on Dec. 8th, Lon and I will present the first of four live Camtasia 9 Workshops. Each workshop will be project oriented and will walk you through creating a particular style of video from start to finish.

The idea behind the new format is to give you a choice as to how deeply you want to dive into certain features, how much you want to spend on training and the opportunity to perfect your skills in creating a variety of video types such as: a software demo, a lesson in a “soft skills” training course, a traffic generating YouTube video, and a marketing/sales video.

The live workshops will be available for purchase starting this Friday, Dec. 2nd.

If you received this newsletter from a friend or are reading it on the website, please sign up to become a Free Member in order to be alerted when the training goes live.

Yes, I’m a Font Fanatic

I’m not ashamed to admit I LOVE fonts and could play with typefaces all day long. And the handwriting ones are my favorite.

If you haven’t already delved into the dark world of typography you MUST start using some cooler fonts than Arial in your videos.

The right combination of fonts can really jazz up a dull video – especially if many of your screens just have a line or two of text. In the blog post below Kristin shows you her favorite font combos and how to install them easily.

Favorite Font Combos and How to Install

Enjoy!

Creating Your Own Illustrations for Videos

In one of my projects my client really like the “Common Craft” style of graphics. You’ve probably seen these in many of the Explainer Videos on YouTube. Even if you aren’t a graphic artist, you can see that these types of characters aren’t too difficult to draw.

Last week I went to Amazon and purchased a stylus pen for my laptop. I have one of those 2 in 1 laptops that is also a tablet (but you could use your iPad) and started creating my own designs.

Why not try it yourself? Perhaps it might inspire you to create a completely new hand drawn style of character for your video.

For those of you who purchased the Screencast Video Coaching membership during our Black Friday through Cyber Monday sale, you can watch my webinar on Dec. 21st called “The Non Designers Guide to illustrating Your Own Videos” to learn more about this technique.

Laptop Lifestyle Sale

Angela Wills has put her Laptop Lifestyle yearly membership on sale for Black Friday – Cyber Monday at 50% off. This is a group many of you may really enjoy because Angela focuses a lot on passive income, something most of you should really consider adding to your businesses. I’ve been talking about Angela’s training for the last 8 years because I’ve taken so many of her
courses and she always over delivers on her products.

That’s it for this week – see you in two weeks!
