Bi-Weekly Video Update – 02/06/16

It’s Lon Naylor with video tips, tutorials and news you can use.

From the Blog:

Commons 101
Last week, I was asked last week about: Creative Commons Licensing for using other people’s content (video, images, music, etc.) in our video projects.

“Dude… You can do that??” – Yes, if you know how!

The thing is…it can be VERY useful…but equally as confusing!

Fortunately, awhile back I created a nifty little Creative Commons (CC) “Primer” video to help at least lay the groundwork for you to wrap your head around it:

The cool part? I didn’t even create this video! HINT: I used a Creative Commons video and modified it. I’ll tell you how on the blog…

Michelle Schoen on Using Webinars

Webinars are the lifeblood of our business here at LearnCamtasia.com. What can you do with a Webinar replay? – Watch this video to learn how to edit a webinar using Camtasia and see the many ways to use the replay to get more traffic to your website and products.

And hey – If you’re nervous to speak live – like everyone is :-0 well, you can do webinars with no audience at all and they work just as well to bring you customers (I’m not kidding). Michelle teaches how to do this in her Webinar Mastery Bootcamp which starts live this Thursday. For a limited time, use the coupon code “webinars” to take $100 off the already reduced price.

Bi-Weekly Video Update – 02/20/16

Hi, it’s Michelle Schoen with video tips, tutorials, templates and news. This week I share with you some tips to be more natural if you decide to add some full motion video of YOU to your screencasts. Then I’ll give you the lowdown on where we can connect if you’d like to come hear me speak. It would be so very nice to meet some of you cool fellow screencasters.

From the Blog:

Getting More Confidence in Your Videos
On many occasions I’d like to add some full motion video of myself at the beginning and end of my screencasts but I find it hard.

If I write, then read a script, I feel unnatural and stiff. If I try to memorize what I want to say, I’ll stumble and only remember part of it and if I just wing it, I tend to think too much and feel self-conscious.

Maybe that’s why I tend to stick with Camtasia videos and not talking head. But I WANT to be able to smile and add some face time and personality to my videos.

So I’ve been doing a little research on one of my favorite blogs – “Brainy Video” and I found this:

What Michelle’s Reading Now:

I’ve got a client wanting to convert some of his classroom training to mLearning – that’s Mobile Learning – if you haven’t heard the term. This is a new area. It’s not huge, but getting bigger every year.

I’m reading this article to get a handle on whether I want to take on the project:

Where Michelle is Presenting:

Spring is time to get out and amongst the people again. Even though introverts, like me, take some nagging to get out there… I do love to teach live. So if you aren’t too far from Atlanta, it would be great to meet you. April is, by far, our prettiest month.
