Weekly Video Update – 02/14/14

Hope you all had a delicious Valentines Day yesterday. I got the usual box of Godiva chocolates and they are all gone. I’ll start the diet tomorrow.

It’s Michelle doing the newsletter this week and here’s what I’ve got for you…

From Our Learn Camtasia Blog:

3 Super Useful Tips To Improve Video Productivity

As I prepare this weekend for my 30 Day Video Challenge, I have been compiling some of the new productivity tips that I have implemented over the last year.

Last July I took some time off and had a lot of trouble getting re-motivated to work on my videos after my kids went back to school. Putting these particular productivity tips into practice really did get me back on track and helped me crank out a bunch of client work this fall.

I hope you’ll give these a try and let me know in the comments if they work for you.

Weekly Video Update – 02/28/14

It’s been a busy week here at Learn Camtasia. Lots of students getting lots of videos created using many different tools. In this week’s newsletter Michelle shares some animation techniques, a cool new video by one of our students and a suggestion for how you can make money sharing some of our products with your own blog subscribers.

From Our Learn Camtasia Blog:

Working with Visual Properties to Create New Animations in Camtasia 8

If you own Camtasia 8, you’ll notice that the ability to create animations is available in a tab called “Visual Properties”. Because I tend to be a creature of habit and am used to doing my animations in PowerPoint, it has taken me a long time to get used to doing some of them in Camtasia. There was a certain point in a client video though that I thought would be a perfect place to add a few animations and if I could do them in Camtasia, it would actually save me quite a bit of time.

Check Out One of Our Student’s New Videos:

I (Michelle) have been running a 30 Day Video Challenge this month and motivating the students to complete one or more videos before March 17. We’ve been getting some great submissions.

In fact, here is one that was done by Video Challenge member Caroline Cerveny. She is using Animoto.

It just goes to show you that you can get some fabulous techniques using all sorts of different video tools.

If you use your imagination, you could easily combine something from Animoto with a PowerPoint or Camtasia screen recording to end up with something very unique.
