Lon Naylor here with this week’s video tips and resources!

From the Blog:

How to Make a Video “Credit Roll” in PowerPoint

I had this question on a recent Screencast Video Coaching webinar:

Bill asked, “How do you create scrolling credits at the end of a video?”

Good question!

Here’s a tutorial and a free PowerPoint animated template slide:

In my tutorial sample, notice how I used the template to make a YouTube “end card” and added a Subscribe to my channel annotation!

*** Making Videos for Local Businesses ***

Speaking of questions, one I get asked a lot has to do with a very lucrative business model that I just don’t really have any experience with. Yet.

“Can I make money selling videos to local businesses and how would I do that?”

So, I went on the hunt to get the top strategies & tactics… and I didn’t have to look far because my good friend, mentor and most awesome video dude, James Wedmore, has it dialed-in (as usual)!

Check out this 4 part video series:

==> The Secrets to Making & Ranking Client Videos

This is an excellent education in what this model is, top tips for pulling it off without wasting time & money, downloadable cheat sheets and a bunch of stuff I never even thought of.

Weekly Video Update – 04/11/15

Hi fellow screencasters. It’s Michelle Schoen this week. First I’ve got a blog post for everyone interested in creating some live webinar courses and below that a serious invitation for me to kick your butt.

From the Blog:

Six Ideas for Preparing Better Live Webinar Courses
Create a Great Webinar Course

One of the easiest ways to create a video course is to deliver it live via webinar, then edit and produce the replay using Camtasia Studio.

In fact, tomorrow morning I’ll be delivering a course on Camtasia Studio to 8 Oracle employees in various parts of the world using GotoMeeting. In this post I’d like to share with you 6 ideas for creating a better live webinar course.

Get your Video Done – Finally!

Tomorrow night we start the 30 Day Video Challenge where I motivate and commit you to a plan to get your video done in the next 30 days.

The challenge is for ten serious people who have a pretty good idea of how to use their video software of choice (PowerPoint, Camtasia, Powtoon, Sony Vegas, etc.) but need a good project plan and some accountability to get the video actually started and/or completed.

Those that join us will also get an opportunity for a one to one consult with me for half price. Many people took advantage of this last year and got their specific questions answered and/or a personalized game plan to launch their video course.

You also get a behind the scenes look at how I plan my day and week and get so many videos knocked out for our courses and my clients.

I only do this once each calendar year, so I hope you will take advantage of this limited time offer.

Hi fellow screencasters.  It’s Lon Naylor with some weekend video goodness for you.

From the Blog:

Camtasia Text Animation Work-around

There seems to be a kind of quirky behavior to text callouts when you want to scale them with animation.

Well… if you’ve ever tried to do that, you’ll probably notice a problem. In this tutorial, I’ll show you the problem and a workaround for it:

YouTube Announces “Cards”

YouTube has announced a new feature for adding annotations called “Cards”.

These are a great way to get extra clicks, views and drive traffic from your channel to your website!

My buddy, Ray The Video Guy, has put together a really nice, clean, concise and very inexpensive step-by-step set of tutorials on exactly how to create and use these.

Check it out HERE ==> YT Cards Training & Templates

http://www.screencastprofits.com/tools/ytcards

He is including a bunch of nice thumbnail graphics so you can take advantage of the importance of an “eye-catching” image to get-the-click.

A great way to get up to speed fast and start using this important YouTube update!

That’s it for this week – see you next weekend!

Weekly Video Update – 04/25/15

Hi fellow screencasters. It’s Michelle Schoen with some video and PowerPoint tips for you:

From the Blog:

Title on the Top, Bullets on the Left, Image on the Right. Boring!
We’ve all been there. You’ve learned enough about PowerPoint to create a decent set of slides for a video. You know how to format a nice gradient background and how to choose images. Maybe you know a thing or two about fonts. But after a while all your slides start to look alike: Title at the top, some text on the left and a picture on the right.

Booooooooring. Let’s do something about that, shall we?

Fun, Free Tool to Generate Titles for your Videos

This is supposed to be a blog post title/idea generator but it will work equally well for your marketing videos. I’ve used the Hubspot Topic Generator before with mixed success but this idea generator is a lot more fun. Check it out when you’re feeling stuck and I guarantee you will find a new angle or idea for your next video.

That’s it for this week – see you next weekend!
