Weekly Video Update – 04/04/14

Lon Naylor here with the Weekly Video Update…

Camtasia Studio 8 – Animations 101

Camtasia Studio 8 has the ability to add animations to almost any element (except audio) you can place on the timeline.

Rather handy except that, while in fact they aren’t difficult, it does confuse lots of folks when they actually try to use them.

In this screencast tutorial, Lon Naylor shows some tips to help you “wrap your head around” Camtasia animations:

“Reverse Engineering” – Jason Fladlien

*** Top Business Tip: Find what the BEST do… and steal it ***

==> Register HERE to watch the best (Jason Fladlien):

Truth be told, the easiest part of video marketing is making videos.

The icky stuff comes in when you try to actually USE them to generate revenue.

Sadly, you need to have at least some level of business systems in place to be successful and… trust me… they can be a bear just to figure out, let alone implement.

Jason delivers more useful information in his webinars than pretty much anybody. In this session, you’ll see the exact templates his company uses along with the why and how… “reverse engineering” his success, so to speak.

Have a great weekend!

P.S. Stay tuned because I just bought white-label rights to software that creates awesome video graphics (like lower thirds, Google Hangout graphics, etc.) – no graphics skills or Photoshop required! My developers are modifying the code to my specs… details coming soon.

Weekly Video Update – 04/11/14

Hi there, it’s Michelle this week with a new student video to share as well as a “save the date” on a brand new free webinar Lon and I have for you later this month…

From the Learn Camtasia Blog: Student Video – Divorce Done Easier

Video Book trailers are becoming very popular and most authors have no experience with video at all, so, this is a potentially profitable skill for anyone who considers themselves pretty creative and can learn the basics of either using PowerPoint for their video or Camtasia Studio.

The book trailer below was just created by one of our students, Doug Green from DougGreeneMedia.com. Doug’s background is photojournalism, so he loves working with photos whenever he can. We think he did a terrific job on this trailer for one of his clients. Notice how well the video flows, the emotion he conveys with just the photos and text on the screen, and how he uses the pan and zoom feature in Camtasia to provide the movement across the photos.

Training I Recently Purchased For My Own Business

I’ve always been a big fan of outsourcing. Those of you who have purchased any of my and Lon’s products have probably met Leslie, our Assistant, who pretty much runs things behind the scenes.

I also have a VA who does most of the SEO for my husband’s websites and I recently welcomed two Interns who will be doing some video client work in exchange for mentoring and developing their portfolio.

One of the best products I’ve purchased that has helped me learn what what tasks to outsource is from Melissa Ingold, who I’ve been buying from for a very long time, called Train Your Assistant to Make You Money. It’s nine weeks of videos showing you specifically which tasks to outsource to make you money. But to get you started if you aren’t already outsourcing is her introductory audio How to Outsource Your Way to a Six-Figure Business Audio.

From the Learn Camtasia Blog:

Getting the “Ken Burns Effect” in Camtasia Studio

According to Wikipedia

The Ken Burns Effect is a type of panning and zooming effect used in video production from still imagery. The name comes from extensive use of the technique by American documentarian, Ken Burns. Lon and I love using this effect to provide the feeling of motion and perspective in our videos. Learn How to Do it…
