Edit and Re-purpose your Webinar with Camtasia Studio

While it’s true that Lon and I are huge Camtasia Studio fans, you might be surprise to learn that about 90% of the content here on LearnCamtasia.com was originally created during live webinars. Camtasia is our tool of choice for recording and editing them (and creating all our marketing videos, professional tutorials and demos) but when it comes to rapid content production there is no better cure for procrastination than scheduling a live webinar and being forced to have everything ready by a deadline.

In this video excerpt from our, Screencast Video Coaching session, I show you how to edit a Webinar using Camtasia and then take the webinar (or portions of it) and use it in several ways to bring traffic back to your Website.

The main steps to edit your webinar are

  1. Choose the resolution based on either the slides or the webinar tool default recording size. Hopefully it will be the same aspect ratio (you’ll see what I mean in the video)
  2. Cut out the beginning and the end where there is no real content.
  3. Add zooms, if required.
  4. Cut out any mistakes made by you or your client (Virtual Assistance can do Webinar editing for your clients)
  5. Produce

Just because your live event is over, doesn’t mean your webinar stops working for you. In fact, with a bit of planning, your replay can get as much—maybe even more—traction as the live webinar did.

Once you have the edited and produced recording that’s when you can have some fun with it.

Lon and I use our Webinar Replays in many ways. We

  1. Create Subscriber Lead Pages with them such as this one PowerPoint for Videos
  2. Put portions of them up on our Learn Camtasia Studio YouTube Channel
  3. Add them to Blogposts (like the one you are reading right now)
  4. Upload them to your social media sites
  5. Use the content to create checklists, action plans, calendars, flowcharts, etc. which we give away on the blog or place on an opt-in page.

There’s no end to the places you can share your Webinar replay and get lots of traffic back to your Website. And more traffic means more potential subscribers and more eyes on your products. And that’s what we’re all here for, right?

Can you think of any other ways to use Webinar Replays for more traffic?
